So...Oh, I so know what the soda addiction is like. Sorry, but I have to represent for the Pepsi drinkers out there! Go Pepsi! Back before I had Landon and was working out like crazy I only would have soda on a rare occasion. And after not having it for awhile when I did drink it I felt so bloated! But since having Landon (and not being fit) I fell off the bandwagon. I've resorted to Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi (I call it Pepsi Gold for short). I never knew it existed, but I absolutely have the craving for that burning sensation in my throat. So now that's what I "treat" myself with at night. I actually look forward to it. Sad I know.
And the running thing, I keep telling myself that since I can't get to the gym I've got to start running again, but it has yet to happen! So any day you do run/walk is great!Kourtneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03689436530956506215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2685045962561762263.post-85434004385223585282007-06-13T16:24:00.000-07:002007-06-13T16:24:00.000-07:00i can't get rid of my soda! i love my DP. and i'm...i can't get rid of my soda! i love my DP. and i'm such a walker definately not a runner!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01694559940405966491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2685045962561762263.post-37070608815476911752007-06-13T14:22:00.000-07:002007-06-13T14:22:00.000-07:00walkign i think is way better for your knees and j...walkign i think is way better for your knees and joints and all that, so yay for kicking butt walking. My boobs hurt when I run, so yay me for that excuse, finally it pays off to lug these things around.
Your coke..hmmmm...im still stuck on it having sexual orientation. You definetly have a serious connection with the beverage!Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08443190055301611957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2685045962561762263.post-68172395781021089612007-06-13T11:51:00.000-07:002007-06-13T11:51:00.000-07:00I, too, suffer from addiction to soda, but Diet Co...I, too, suffer from addiction to soda, but Diet Coke. :) I've quit before, and it was easiest just to do it cold turkey. But, I started again because I just love it...just like you said, it's my comfort and with everything else that is going on with me, I figure I can splurge on a Diet Coke! But I know you've been wanting to quit for a long time, so if it is really that important, I say just do it cold turkey. The headaches go away after a week.Mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06881540358875872247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2685045962561762263.post-8632116622329367452007-06-12T19:56:00.000-07:002007-06-12T19:56:00.000-07:00Seems to me, as having kicked the habit of the caf...Seems to me, as having kicked the habit of the caffeine years ago now, but still obviously needing to deal with other food related issues, that it's really about motivation and what gets you to commit. That seems to be the case for all things in our lives. Knowing something and "feeling" it are two completely different things. I respect and probably envy people who just quit doing things once they realize it's "not good for me". Just like that. I chalk it up to one of the temptations/challenges/trials of living when we do. If we had been born 400 years ago, it would have been something else. I think we have to view something as almost a moral issue to really commit. I'm not saying it's a moral issue. But, if you could think of it as one, maybe you would have more success. The walking thing I say you go girl cause I myself have to constantly make myself go to the gym and sometimes I just don't want to. But the soda thing is a tough one so really kudos if you can kick it and really I do not think it is bad if you do not.The RealFatmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17920653932121530891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2685045962561762263.post-67279299546417692002007-06-12T10:33:00.000-07:002007-06-12T10:33:00.000-07:00I sorta really stopped the dark soda when I saw a ...I sorta really stopped the dark soda when I saw a science fair project at Katies school showing what dark soda does to a bone after a period of time-SCARY

notice I said "sorta really"
I do endulge from time to time!
love ya~good luckJerolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15859707053647568885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2685045962561762263.post-9114996977869977782007-06-12T09:13:00.000-07:002007-06-12T09:13:00.000-07:00Okay, as I have attempted the "quitting of the sod...Okay, as I have attempted the "quitting of the soda" many times before, I am now just a fan of 'all things in moderation.' Really, I know myself better than to nix it altogether. If you just let yourself have it on the weekend, or something, then you'll be a little better off but not quite miserable. And don't keep it in your fridge. If the only time you can get it is when you eat out you'll be a little better off too (despite still eating out a lot, I know). See, this is how I justify it...Integrity? Huh? This, my dear, is shear justification through and through. Something I'm very very good at. Try it. It might work for you too, sista!Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12087765764491742353noreply@blogger.com
